Bugs item #729876, was opened at 2003-04-29 23:57 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by joergl You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=442886&aid=729876&group_id=45430 Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Marcus Mendenhall (mendenhall) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: pyx leaves lots of files open... Initial Comment: In the spirit of my previous comment/patch (728209), I have found some other annoyances related to running PyX in an interactive environment. It fairly wantonly leaves files open in pyx.text, resulting, after many iterations, in running out of open file slots. The patch attached fixes this, as far as I can tell, along with avoiding a DeprecationWarning in Python 2.3 related to changed handling of ints and longs. All this does is make sure files are closed as soon as they are not needed. I doubt that it breaks anything else. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jörg Lehmann (joergl) Date: 2003-06-05 09:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=390410 Sorry for the delay. I have just checked in your fixes. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marcus Mendenhall (mendenhall) Date: 2003-06-04 23:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=470295 Has anyone looked at this patch, and tried to apply it yet? I would really like to see the number of orphaned files reduced. thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=442886&aid=729876&group_id=45430 |
