Please add something like ldapsearch's '-Q' option. Else, every
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s() produces an annoying

| SASL/GSSAPI authentication started
| SASL username: ...
| SASL SSF: 56
| SASL installing layers

output.

This can be removed by using

| #define LDAP_SASL_QUIET 2U

as ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s() 'flags' parameter.

I would prefer a binding for the non-interactive ldap_sasl_bind()
method also.

    Can you please verify on your system that simply setting the
    SASL flags helps? On my system it still produces the noisy
    output on stderr.

    Please ignore my previous comment.

    Checked in a fix into CVS. The caller can now define the
    sasl_flags by a new key-word argument for
    LDAPObject.sasl_interactive_bind_s(). Default is
    ldap.SASL_QUIET.
