I'm getting:

$ python setup.py register -r pypi
running register
running check
Registering pycalendar to https://pypi.python.org/pypi
Server response (403): You are not allowed to store 'pycalendar' package information

when I try to register a new package. I posted to distutils-sig, but haven't heard back (and this seems like a more appropriate place anyway). I think the “successful” https://pypi.python.org/ registration I report there was a false positive. The pycalendar name seems unclaimed (Not Found ()), so I'm not sure what the hangup is. My PyPI username is wking.

I get the same “not allowed” message when trying to register via the web form. Any advice would be appreciated :).

Note that this seems similar to #211 and #230, but I also get the 403 when I'm trying to register. I may be seeing the same sort of thing as #48. Perhaps I am conflicting with Py-Calendar? I'm not sure if PyPI removes hyphens when creating slugs.
