Hello,

With the recent password reset the research lab that I work for has lost access to it's PyPI account (modilabs). The issue is that we do not know what email was used to originally open the account and, thus, we cannot recover the password. What options are there to move forward in this case?

Thank you,

Mark

Can you tell me anything at all about what the old email address might have been?

We really don't know what it is, though I suspect that it is actually a googlegroups email: modilabs@googlegroups.com. I know that this sounds like a scam, but I appreciate the help.

Our records indicate there was a login event for that account on the 20th of February, two days before the password reset was performed. Do you have anyone else at your lab who might know the account details?

Please supply your email address with the research lab.

Thanks for that information. I have now verified your identity with the lab. Please indicate the email address you wish to have the account reset to. The old address, by the way, is modi.research.group@gmail.com

Thank you for resolving this in such a timely manner. We have access to that account so there is no need to change the email. I have already reset the password to something known. You can consider this ticket closed.

    Thanks again,

    Mark
