Here is a pretty good paper showing how to model things, and types of things. This will be familiar territory for anyone familiar with data modeling (or should be familiar territory), but the article expresses the concepts in OO language. The Type Object Pattern by Ralph Johnson and Bobby Woolf http://www.ksc.com/article3.htm One example that we ran into recently is Matthew's djlib demo. There is a Record (as in music record) entity that really needs to be split into two: one representing the physical record, and another representing the conceptual record (named Recording, Album, ???). -- Patrick K.
