Would it be possible to update the current Win32 PyOpenGL-2.0.0.44.win32-py2.2.exe installer to a version of PyOpenGL built against Numeric 22.0 (i.e. the latest version of Numeric)? I just spent a day tracking down a problem caused by upgrading my Numeric to 22.0 and then having my PyOpenGL/Togl based application suddenly start trapping. After a lot of work rebuilding PyOpenGL against Numeric 22.0, my application is working again. It would be nice if the Win32 installer files were built against the latest Numeric. Thanks, Dave Morrill |

Anyone know how to make the installer from that code? I was planning on using inno setup for the pre-release. Perhaps you could use that? http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php I'm going to be making a new pre-release soon from the current cvs. It will be against Numeric 22. So maybe you could wait for that instead? However I can't figure out how to build togl in windows? Can you shed some light on this? I got some extentions compiled with mingw tonight, so I don't think I'll need msvc to make a release. --- "David C. Rene See an old mail from me (to you, cc'd to pyopengl-users) "Re: Build notes..." which went into some detail regarding what I needed to do to get togl to build on Win2K w/ VC++. We had a "write docs on build process" todo in that email exchange :) . Enjoy, Mike Rene Dudfield wrote: >Anyone know how to make the installer from that code? > > ... >However I can't figure out how to build togl in >windows? I had a whack at using mingw, but there are a number of linking problems. The conversion process for the python dll into a gcc friendly lib doesn't work so well for the functions pyopengl uses. Why the python people don't release python libs to work with gcc on windows is beyond me ;') I'm going to have a go trying to fix the link errors, and see how I go from there. If I can't get it working by next week I might have to blow $200 on msvc :( I gave someone your build notes, which were very helpful, but they couldn't get the togl part working. The rest worked for them though. --- "Mike C.
