While it is possible to do some kind of workaround, I suppose, using PyOpenGL would be easier for those of us from the OpenGL-in-C generation if we had these functions.

I searched sources here and on the original Authors' site, but glGenTextures and glBindTexture were not found.

I am a novice user of OpenGL 1.1 and perhaps I have hit something new that OGL 1.2 and that was in 1.1 but has been deprecated? However, I am sure the old API would remain, so I consider this a bug.

    I mean, both of these functions are in the source code. Maybe you should look into the CVS repository, glGenTextures and glBindTexture have been added after the first file release.
