Hi all, my system is a newly installed debian-3.1 linux. 'pymol' seems to be part of the installed package. But when I try to open pymol, I get the following error: -------------------------------------------------------------------------= --- $ pymol Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/pymol/__init__.py", line 329, in= ? import _cmd ImportError: libglut.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file o= r directory -------------------------------------------------------------------------= --- Can somebody please point out the cause and the remedy? I have never used pymol before and this was my first try. Thanks in advance Regards, Arvind |

Thanks a lot Robert. The GUI opens now but with the following error given below. I can load a molecule and perform basic operations though. Do I need to install anything more or do anything else to get rid of the error= ?
