I am interested in productivity accounting. Can you add a total keystroke field? The goal will be to report total keystrokes/hr user and date identifing each program.

    well, counting characters in the keystrokes field should be pretty easy job for most any software.
    just run a regexp to parse out the [Keyname:blabla] bits, and then count the characters...
    something like 's/\[KeyName:.*?\]/~/' will translate all the keyname bits to '~'.

    if you don't have an editor with regexp support, there's a good open source one called scite:
    http://scintilla.sourceforge.net/SciTEDownload.html

    there's also notepad++:
    http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/about.php

    not sure if they support non-greedy matching, but try and see.

    let me know if you have trouble with the regexps, and i'll take a closer look...

    in the meantime... i suppose i can put the "keystrokes" field as an option into the next version todo list. :)

    This is now implemented in release 0.9.2. (just enable this option in the control panel)
