Hi guys,
I have a memory consumption problem while using
"pyflag_bin_mysql_0.7.8". The python process is
gradually eating all memory (~2GB (1GB ram and 1GB
swap)) while scanning filesystem of an ntfs image and
using those options: compressed, file type, filesystem
specific, genreal forensics. I tryed unabling some
option but it din't fix the problem.

I was wondering if this problem as already been found
or is this specific to me. Any sugestion?

I'm using Linux Ubuntu 5.10 on P4 3.2Ghz.
I tryed the same using some live CD such as HELIX 1.7.

regards

I'm also having the same problem with ubuntu 5.10 and
    pyflag0.78.

I'm going to see if0.80 fixes it..

Please use the flash script example in the tests directory
to check memory usage as you turn each scanner on in turn.
For example - start with no scanning at all, then have just
    the type scanner on etc.

You can see in the debug messages which scanners will be
used (to satisfy dependencies). Use ps to see how much
memory is used by the main pyflag process, and dbtool.

Note that scanner groups override individual scanners (so if
the group is turned off all scanners in the group will be
disabled, but if the group is on, then depending on the
    individual scanner settings.)

    Michael.
