Z39.50 is a standard communication protocol to get
information on a book from a database on the net.
The idea would be to query one or several of the
databases provided by national libraries and fill the
entry fields.

Luckily, a python module for Z39.50 queries has already
been written:

This feature would be just great :)

    I also will be interesed by this feature. Most of library I
    visit use this standard.
