There is not a test suite at the moment (I've just taken over
maintenance of py2exe, and that's one of my top priorities). I suppose
you could try building the samples that are included in the distribution
to get an idea if it's working.
I'm not sure I want to put the binary up on Sourceforge just yet. I have
my hands full supporting the two compilers I already use (both in terms
of building new versions and supporting users) and I'd like to hold off
on adding a third (which I don't use) until I see if there is
significant demand. If people ask for the binary on the list I'll
forward them to you if you don't mind - if demand becomes high at some
point then I'll reconsider.

instructions for what you did to get it built and put them on the Wiki:
