Yes, but when bundled as a py2exe I can't see any print that comes from within a thread. And as stated before, the not bundled app works fine.

You're going to have to figure out exactly what's happening in
your application.  I would probably start by adding some
"print" statements or use the logging module to figure out what
each thread is doing.

Have you never debugged a program before?
