Hi, thanks Bruhin, cant believe the solution to email prob was directlly below my post, only just joined this group. Anyhow this worked fine, but it somehow exposed what must have been the next error waiting for me

Related to my using the
"import winshell" in my script (just to get logged on users desktop path)

If i dont use winshell (hard set the path instead of myOutPut = winshell.desktop() + \\scripts.txt your fix works great,

with winshell i get the following error:

"Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "myGmailer.py", line 2, in <module>
  File "zipextimporter.pyo", line 78, in load_module
  File "winshell.pyo ", line 31, in <module>
  File "zipextimporter.pyo", line 78, in load_module
  File "win32com\__init__.pyo", line 6, in <module>
ImportError: No module named pythoncom
"

Am using the (py2exe winshell) fix from here in my setup.py
http://www.py2exe.org/index.cgi/WinShell
This cleared the following notification in py2exe

"
The following modules appear to be missing
'win32com.shell'
"
But didnt fix the "No module name pythoncom"

I read on google that importing the pythoncom25.dll may fix the problem? How would i do this? or is there a way to do this, have i missed something obvious (probably knowing me) ?

Any help appreciated
Reagrds and thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,

For me the fix I mentioned in this thread "py2exe and the email module
not working" did the trick.
