I finally got the last bit of manifest magic correct to run my exe on Vista, great!

However, the exe.log file indeed can not be written. Is there a flag to py2exe on where to place such files?

Hi,

The only issue I have with "built on the XP, deployed on the Vista" is that
"Program Files (x86)\" subdirs on the Vista are read-only. So I tell the
users to install elsewhere.

Good luck, Enoch.

Hi all,

I was curious whether anyone knows about issues with building on Windows XP,
and deploying that application on Vista.  I'm currently using py2exe
successfully on XP, but don't have easy access to a Vista machine.  I'd rather
know of any issues ahead of time before I try to install the application for my
customer.

Searching around, I didn't find any notes on this setup.  Does anyone know if
there are any gotchas I should be thinking about?

Thanks!
Brian
