Using Pd-extended 32 bits version 0.43.4 on mac osx 10.6.8.
When i right click in a patcher, on an object or wherever in Pd, the contextual menu with "Help Open Properties" appears, but sometimes it is stuck : i can't left click somewhere else to make it disappear, i can't click anywhere else in PureData, hovering on items of the menu doens't highlight them in blue... this problem is inconsistent : sometimes it works without problem, someitmes it doesn't, at worse i have to wait abit and try to left/right click in rage everywhere for the menu eventually to disappear or for beeing able to select one item of said menu (phew !).
At first it seemed like a minor problem, but the more you stay in pure data, the more it becomes a real deal, because it becomes problematic to open the properties for an object and it prevents working efficiently.

I get this on 10.6.8 too. I seems to increase in it's sluggishness as you use it - very strange and then you come back to it a few minutes later and it seems to have reset.

I wonder if there is some kind of time out happening in the gui thread? I also experience the menu being placed off to an x,y offset from the pointer that is consistent wherever you right click on the canvas.

This is on Mavericks as well. Good luck using Pure Data in OS X, it's a complete waste of time yet used to be one of the most solid apps I used. What a nightmare.
