Recently, I installed BearShare and noticed that SAVENOW program in the background doing its thing. As it is part of the ad-supported version of BearShare, it is "supposed" to be there.
However, I did a little seek and destroy for that program on my system and now everything is peachy. :)

It's freeware now and still is good enough to remove those nasty ad and spyware from your system... if you do use a peer to peer program try looking for ad-aware pro 6 (181 build) best you'll get!
I'll think you'll be shocked at what you'll see is in with your peer to peer software when using this stuff (it kicks ass good)!
(also i've been testing some popup killers, come back to using popup killer 145.4 becuase it's compact and discreat!!!)

Ad-Aware is very good. There is another freeware program called "Spybot - Search and Destroy", which is just as good. You can get it at "http://www.safer-networking.org".
If you pay for Ad-Aware it becomes an active anti-spyware program. If you run it at startup it will run in the background and continuously guard against spyware.

Isn't that a part of programs such as BearShare? .. If so, I would go to their website and seek information.

I've experienced alot of problems with those ad's from peer to peer sharing. The software you need to get is called Ad-Aware from:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com
