It is a Python version mismatch: you are trying to use with
Python 2.3 a Psyco compiled for Python 2.2.

There is no precompiled binary for Python 2.3; you must
compile your own (which is not difficult, btw). I will
provide a precompiled 2.3 package when a beta version of
Python 2.3 is released. Until then, compiling yourself is
the best thing to do anyway to get something that matches
    your particular 2.3 installation.
