PSID64 0.8 released

PSID64 0.8 has been released. PSID64 is a program that makes it possible to listen to your favourite SID music on a real Commodore 64 computer. The download section on http://psid64.sourceforge.net/ provides the new source tarball as well as precompiled binaries for Linux and DOS/Windows.

The precompiled binary for DOS/Windows was compiled using djcross-gcc 4.1.1. The Linux RPM binary has been compiled on Fedora Core 6. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with these binaries.... read more

The precompiled binary for DOS/Windows was compiled using DOSEMU, DR-DOS 7.03 and DJGPP. The Linux RPM binary has been compiled on Fedora Core 3. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with these binaries.... read more

Starting with this release the precompiled binary for Windows is compiled with DJGPP instead of Cygwin. Therefore PSID64 also runs on MS-DOS (e.g. for use with PSID64HDD and 64HDD).... read more

Release 0.3 fixes serious bug in Windows version

Release 0.3 fixes a classic bug in release 0.2. On Windows machines without Cygwin installed, all files are treated as text files by default. This results in corrupt C64 program files where a carriage return character is inserted before each new line character.

Release 0.2 of PSID64 now available

This release includes a port to Windows/Cygwin platform (see download section), screens located in the memory ranges $4000-$8000 and $c000-$d000, long option formats and option to specify multiple PSID files to be converted on the command line.

First release of PSID64

The first release of PSID64 is now available for download.
PSID64 is a program that converts PSID files into C64 executables. This allows users to play PSID files (originally used by the PlaySID program) on a real Commodore 64 computer or emulator such as VICE.
