We have released a new version that includes minor changes as well as a major bug fix that affects how session data is stored in the database. All current users are encouraged to upgrade to this version as soon as possible.
We are proud to release version 2.0.0. Which includes a few new features like the ability to add student credit at the POS, the ability to roll change from a transaction into a student's credit account. PSCafePOS also has an improved reports and touch screen support.
We have released a new version of PSCafePOS which improves performance for the client and server. It will allow the database to hold many more records without slowing down POS performance.
We are proud to release Version 1.1.2 which adds the following:
[Web] Added web based student management with a bit of AJAX.
[POS] Added ability to add item to order by scanning the item's barcode.
[POS] tapping the credit button will add the remaining balance to the credit buffer.
[POS] Made the "Info Messages" easier to dispose for touch screen monitors.
This release only adds a new utility that pulls student images from Powerschool, to allow users to create a web directory so the images can be accessed via PSCafePOS.
We are proud to release version 1.1.0 of PSCafePOS! This version now has support for Windows for the web server as well as support for Postgres database for transactions. Once again we would like to thank Andrew Schmadeke with Focus SIS for his help on this release. We are in the process of updating our documentation for installation and usage, but please be patient.
We have release Version 1.0M3c which has added a few features like a basic inventory, and has fixed a couple bugs. For full release notes please see the download package.
Special thanks on this release to Andrew Schmadeke with focus/SIS. He did much of the work on implementing the negative credit balance function and voiding of orders in the checkout screen.
I have created a VMWare image that is listed in the download section. It is the server and client setup on Fedora Core 6.
This version has corrected a few bugs, and also added some new features including last student order on the POS, database backup, and a few others.
We are now back online with our demo and web server as of December 16th.
The PSCafePOS website and Demo Server will be down longer than expected. They should be back online by Dec. 16th.
The PSCafePOS web site will be down between Friday Dec. 8 and Monday Dec. 11. This includes the PSCafePOS web site and demo server. If you have any problems or questions, please post them to the sourceforge forum and they will be answered as soon as possible.
Lots of new features in this release, please go to the PSCafePOS homepage to demo it out.
