Hi there, I'm running csx 1.4 on a Windows 7 64bit , Photoshop CS2,and I get the error attached. Installed the latter version as well but uninstall and install 1.4 just in case I solve the problem. The script starts running as normal but with the first image it gives me the error.

I would apreciate if you could help.

Thanks in advance,

Nikos

There is a newer version of CSX available here. You may want to try that, but I suspect it may not solve your problem. And I haven't tested it on CS2 either so it may just introduce new problems.

This appears to be a problem with smart objects as that is how I insert images into contact sheets by default. Smart object support in CS2 was not perfect:) You can change the behaviour by going to the Advanced panel and changing the hiperfMode preference from HP Mode 1 to Basic. Instead of using smart objects, it opens open the file, does a resize, copy, and paste to insert the image. It's slower, but it should work.

There also may be something peculiar about your image. If you like, you can send me a copy and I'll see if I can reproduce the error.

    Hi xbytor,

Problem solved!! I've taken it to basic mode and it works fine. Your help is much appreciated.

    Another quick question..

When I go browse on the network my network drives do not appear with their names but with a drive letter ie. d and $, and when I click on the drive it is asking me for a password while I don't need one for anything else... Could that be something related with the script's settings or it's to do with my network settings?

    Thanks for everything

    Nikos

I don't really have a clue about network drives on Win platforms. I know that there have been issues accessing network drives from scripts in older versions of PS. Perhaps you should ask around at either ps-scripts.com or on Adobe's Photoshop Scripting forum. I don't even have a way of reproducing this kind of problem here. I'm mostly Mac :)
