A very nice feature is the display of waypoints in the altitude chart.
    Gnuplot knows something like this:
"with labels left rotate point pt 9 offset 0,0.5 notitle".
Therefore you have to export the waypointnames to the gnuplot-datafile.

I did some testing with gnuplot.<br>
    I want to<br>
    - show waypoints<br>
    - Correct the origin of velocity and elevation<br>
    - add a title<br>
    - show a smooth line for velocity<br>

Here is my script for Gnuplot:

    <code>set grid<br>
    set lmargin 10<br>
    set multiplot layout 2,1<br>
    set size 1,0.75<br>
    set origin 0,0.25<br>
set title "Improved Altitude Chart with Prune V8"<br>
    set xlabel 'Länge (km)'<br>
    set ylabel 'Höhe (m)'<br>
set style fill solid 0.5 border -1<br>
plot 'prunedata8910966355280347717.tmp' notitle with filledcurve y1=0 lt rgb "#009000", 'prunedata8910966355280347717_wp.tmp' with labels left rotate point pt 9 offset 0,0.5 notitle<br>
    set notitle<br>
    set size 1,0.25<br>
    set origin 0,0.0<br>
    set xlabel 'Länge (km)'<br>
    set ylabel 'Geschwindigkeit (km/h)'<br>
set style fill solid 0.5 border -1<br>
plot 'prunedata2122349775368427610.tmp' notitle with filledcurve y1=0 lt rgb "#009000", 'prunedata2122349775368427610.tmp' notitle with lines lt 4 lw 3 smooth sbezier<br>
    unset multiplot</code>
    Look at this sample

The formating of the last posting didn't work. Sorry. I will retry.

IMHO, in an altitude chart with velocity we need only one x-axis. So the chart gets more place.

        set grid
        set lmargin 8
        set multiplot layout 2,1
        set size 1,0.75
        set origin 0,0.25
set title "Improved Altitude Chart Ver. 2 with Prunedata"
        set xlabel ""
        set format x ""
set ylabel 'Höhe (m)' offset 3
set style fill solid 0.5 border -1
plot 'prunedata_tag3_ele.tmp' notitle with filledcurve y1=0 lt rgb "#009000", 'prunedata_tag3_wp.tmp' with labels left rotate point pt 9 offset 0,0.5 notitle
        set notitle
        set size 1,0.25
        set origin 0,0.0
set yrange  #  setting for hiking
set ytics 2      # step 2 for hiking
        set format x
set xlabel 'Länge (km)' offset 0,0.5
set ylabel 'Geschwindigkeit (km/h)' offset -0.5
set style fill solid 0.5 border -1
plot 'prunedata_tag3_vel.tmp' notitle with filledcurve y1=0 lt rgb "#009000", 'prunedata_tag3_vel.tmp' notitle with lines lt 4 lw 3 smooth sbezier
        unset multiplot
