This behavior is OK, when the Aspectratio setting is set to "unchanged" in the options dialog.

But when I explicitly choose an Aspectratio, the corresponding header data in the source file should just be ignored.
I also propose to comletely suppress the corresponding warnings in this case.

Why is dropping frames on format change a problem ?

Since a while, some TV stations broadcast some shows in a 16:9 format and others (as well as the commercial breaks) in 4:3. This means an Aspectratio change on the start/end of the show and also on the start/end of the commercial breaks.
Sometimes, the format change occurs within a GOP that belongs to the show.
If I just want to watch and then delete it, no problem. But for that case I would not use ProjectX...
But when I plan to burn the show on DVD, I prefer 1/2 GOP that looks contorted over 1 GOP that's missing, especially because that missing GOP could make 1 or 2 missing words in the audio track.
