    Hi,

Please checkout http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/po-timesheet here on SourceForge.
This separate project is a desktop/Java time sheet logging application that can be installed on Windows and other systems. It uses a REST interface to retrieve and store its data on a ]po[ V3.4.1 server (currently demo.project-open.net).

However, the main purpose of this application is to demonstrate and validate the new ]popo[ users will find the new application useful to write their own REST interfaces.

    Cheers!
    Frank

Can I use this with a sample VM PO 3.4.1 I have set up on my own computer? I tried entering the new settings, but the test connection was unsuccessful so I'm guessing not.

    Hi Ryan,

Try working with the http://demo.project-open.net/ server first.
If this is working, then try to update your local ]po[ installation to V3.5 using "cvs update -r b3-5-0-patches" in the /packages/ subdirectory.

    Cheers!

the link for the ]po[ Version 4.0 (Alpha) released bring us here…i see no V4.0 I know I need to upload my install log so you will at least be able to see what I installed.

The ]poproject-openproject-open[ Admin/Developer knowledge is required to get this version to work.

    Hi Kenneth,

I don't 100% understand. V4.0 is ONLY available via CVS update at the moment.
However, for the REST interface it's better to use V3.5. V3.5 includes features that
we haven't yet merged into V4.0.

    Cheers!
    Frank

    Hi dendiabadi,

Please tell us the version of ]po[ you are running and the URL that gave you the error.
Also, your error doesn't seem to be related to REST Java client, right? In this case
please create a new discussion thread here.

    Cheers,
    Frank
