It would be an extremely useful feature if, in a future version, ProGuard could handle to obfuscate, out-of-the-box, .class files contained in packages contained in the WEB-INF/classes dir of a WAR file (instead of having to package them into a jar file that has to be put in WEB-INF/lib).
Are you considering implementing this in some upcoming release?
Thank you and keep up the good work.
cheers

This seems useful indeed. It will undoubtedly make it in a future release, but I'm still pondering on a more general approach for directory prefixes and infixes like WEB-INF/classes/... and .../resources/...

+1 for this. There is nothing wrong with putting class files into WEB-INF/classes. Personally I'd have to refactor around 50 projects to use proguard, which is a pity because I really wanted to give it a try.
