I had heard something about the nVidia OpenGL drivers reserving a chunk of address space for AGP bus-accessible memory or some such wierdness - but it seemed like no actual physical RAM was consumed.... only virtual address space. At any rate there is certainly something very strange about the amount of RAM that PPE consumes for each window on my system. But even with 256Mb RAM under Linux (which is pretty lean on RAM usage usually), I can't launch T/F/S/3D mode without crashing PPE. However, I *CAN* open four model windows the usual way without problems. ----------------------------- Steve Baker ------------------------------- HomeMail : <sjb...@ai...> WorkMail: <sj...@li...> HomePage : http://web2.airmail.net/sjbaker1 Projects : http://plib.sf.net http://tuxaqfh.sf.net http://tuxkart.sf.net http://agtoys.sf.net http://prettypoly.sf.net http://freeglut.sf.net http://toobular.sf.net |
