Hi, when I click the S2D button in the menu I get an error message: ' Swap partition " is not available, cannot suspend to disk'.
But I have a swap partition of 2GB and mounted from the system on /dev/hda6.
Anyone an idea?
Yes. Did you specify the suspend partition?
You should do so with the "resume=/dev/hdX" kernel command line.
Check /sys/power/resume, the partition is written in there.
If you are using modular drivers for the harddisk your swap partition resides on, you have to make sure your initrd/initramfs triggers resume before mounting any filesystems. Usually, your distribution should take care of this, the newer ones do.
Further discussion should take place on the powersave-users mailinglist.
I have the same problem:
"Swap partition '3:3' is not available, cannot suspend to disk"
I have specified "resume=/dev/hda3" in menu.lst
dmesg confirms it is in the kernel command line.
What can be wrong?
