Just a small technical note for the next smarty (or $other_lib) update:
I'd prefer updates to be done as "real" updates (read: replace the
files and let SVN find out the changes) instead of removing the old and
adding the new files.
This will avoid needless SVN traffic (the update 2.6.22 -> 2.6.24 sounds
more like bugfixes in some files than like a complete rewrite ;-) and
preserve the SVN history.
"Does your computer ever crash?"
"Oh definitely, believe me. We want to make a tool that we can use
ourselves and we know from our own use we can make it a lot better
and a lot more reliable." [Bill Gates in a BBC interview]
sounds reasonable. I use Tortoise and I didn't know what happens if I just overwrite the files. Just didn't want to mess up things. I will consider next time...
P.S.: I don't know if I create a new thread. Unfortunately, I'm not subscribed to the list yet.
