You have to create a key file before you can enter all of the Credit Card Configuration settings.

    How to fix this:
Create a new text file with a text editor such as Notepad.
In the text file, enter your key, for example:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]OpenMFGkeyText12345[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
    Save this file, for example:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]OpenMfg.key[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
Save it to a folder where you want to store this key, for example:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]C:\\KeyFileFolder\\[/b:98c5ab3ac9]

    Now open the PostBooks Client.
    Go to:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]\"System > Master Information > Credit Cards...\":[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
    The following error will display:
[b:98c5ab3ac9]Cannot read encrypted information from database.[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
Click on the \"Key File\" tab.
Enter your Key File Name, for example:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]OpenMfg.key[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
Enter your Key File Location for your system, for example:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]C:\\KeyFileFolder\\[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
Click on Save and then [b:98c5ab3ac9]Restart the PostBooks client[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
    Go to:
    [b:98c5ab3ac9]\"System > Master Information > Credit Cards...\":[/b:98c5ab3ac9]
Now there is no error and the Login and Password fields are no longer grayed out.

You should make your \"Key\" a long string of random upper and lower case letters and numbers.  Special characters should not be used.  You should also make the key file, for example, \"OpenMfg.key\" a hidden file and also make the directory it is in hidden.  Do not use the actual key and file name and location I gave above, those are just an example. -- Read more at http://www.xtuple.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=202
