ln -s /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 libcrypto.so.4
ln -s /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8 libssl.so.4
ln -s /lib/libreadline.so.5.2 libreadline.so.4
ln -s /lib/libncurses.so.5.6 libtermcap.so.2
These will create four symbolic links. The first two are needed for xTuple 3.0 and 3.1 and the last two are, additionally, required for 3.2 onwards.
I just put them in a little script that I copy into the directory and run on each client machine.
This has been used on Hardy but presumably is required for other versions as well. -- Read more at http://www.xtuple.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3069
