    I've changed the printReceiptDate output from
    ticket.getDateClose().toString()
    to
    Formats.TIMESTAMP.formatValue(ticket.getDateClose())
    which solves my date format problem

    Depending from the systems region settings we have a country specific output, ok. But while for English (US) its still
    Wed, Nov 11 2007 ...
    the Germany output is plainly
    14.11.2007 ...
    which is perfect for me.

    I still don't understand why the German date takes the short form while the English date stays with the long form!
    On my system the English short form setting would be 11/14/2007.

    Couldn't we provide a long and a short date function, both fully relying on the system settings? and maybe with or without time?
