The programm Keystore-Explorer by lazgo Software seems to be portecle
with some changes in the gui.

Probably so, although I haven't really looked into it.

No, see below.

The history of Portecle in a nutshell:
Once upon a time, Wayne Grant implemented a very nice GUI tool for
managing keystores, called KeyTool GUI. Later, he decided to stop
developing the GPL'd version and to focus on a commercial product based
on it instead; unless I'm mistaken, that's called KeyStore Explorer
nowadays. As the sole copyright holder for the entire KeyTool GUI
codebase until that point of time, there were no legal problems doing
However, some people who value free software like Mark Majczyk and yours
truly weren't entirely happy with that decision, and took the last GPL'd
KeyTool GUI version, renamed it to Portecle to avoid confusion, and
started maintaining and developing it further under the GPL.
So, here we are now. The vast majority of the code and the features in
Portecle are still almost as is from Wayne and KeyTool GUI, so the
credit of the app belongs mostly to him.
