Well there is a reason that was good enough for me not to change it. When the URI code of Franz came along I spent some time to investigate it a= nd=20 decided that I do not want to understand how it works. I used the test-suite to run it against my implementation to make sure it d= oes=20 the same thing (at least in those cases) and did not change anything else. So to some extent its just some NIH syndrome and distaste for coding style= =20 that made me step back from including it in ACL-COMPAT where its correct=20 place would be. I'm not strictly opposed to switch implementations - the only drawbacks I s= ee=20 is that I will no longer be able to fix it in a position were I understand= =20 the code and that we will track all future changes of the code.
