I've started a campaign on the Kickstarter web site in an attempt to raise enough funds to speed up PortaBase development by working on it full time for a while. If you'd like to contribute, learn more about my current plans for PortaBase development, vote on the new features you'd most like to see implemented, and/or get the new application icon on a sticker, notepad, or t-shirt, please check it out at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/285185447/portabase.
PortaBase 2.1 has been released. This release fixes a number of issues on the Nokia N900, adds a few useful new features like HTML export, makes some improvements to the file properties and column statistics dialogs, makes the help files easier to read and use, and makes it significantly easier for translators to contribute to the project. See the full details at http://portabase.sourceforge.net/history.html.
The stable release of PortaBase 2.0 is now available. I fixed a couple of minor bugs that I found in the release candidate, but no additional bugs were reported by users. Work on new features for PortaBase 2.1 will begin soon.
The first release candidate of PortaBase 2.0 is now available. All major issues reported during beta testing have been addressed, translations have been updated, and installation on the N900 is now easier. Give it a whirl and report any remaining bugs so I can fix them before 2.0 final.
The second beta release of PortaBase 2.0 is now available. All the serious issues reported with the first beta have been resolved, so the code should be in pretty good shape. Last chance to report bugs or submit translations before the 2.0 final release (probably a week or two from now).
The first beta release of PortaBase 2.0 is now available. The Zaurus is no longer being developed for, but new ports for the Nokia N810 and N900 as well as Mac OS X have been added to make up for it. The code is in pretty good shape, but has been massively rewritten to catch up with over 6 years of library updates. Please report any bugs you find so I can fix them before I declare a 2.0 release as stable.
