    Hi.
    I have upload a patch that MAYBE fix the problems when send non US charset.
    http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1573117&group_id=152204&atid=783598

    I have made some test with Spanish characters (ISO8859-1).
    With Pop2owa 1.0RC5

    Thunderbird 1.5
    Send->    Received->Force to UTF-8
    ISO-8859-1->Bad->OK
    UTF-8->Bad->Bad

    Outlook 2000
    Send->    Received->Force to UTF-8
    ISO-8859-1->Bad->OK
    UTF-8->OK

    I have made some changes to overwrite charset of client email, sending always UTF-8 to OWA

    Thunderbird 1.5
    Send->    Received
    ISO-8859-1->OK
    UTF-8->Bad

    Outlook 2000
    Send->    Received
    ISO-8859-1->OK
    UTF-8->OK

    Not is a official version, please use it only for testing!

      Hi.
      Why UTF-8 work under Outlook and not in Thunderbird 1.5?

      Looking the headers
      Outlook
      Content-Type: text/plain;charset="UTF-8"
      Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

      Thunderbird
      Content-Type: text/plain;charset="UTF-8"

      OWA work OK with 'quoted-printable' encodings. In Thunderbird you can force it under "Composition" options, "For messages that contain 8-bit characters, use 'quoted printable' MIME encoding..."

      With Pop2owa 1.0RC5

      Thunderbird 1.5
      Send-> Received
      ISO-8859-1->OK
      UTF-8->OK

      With this config you don't need the path under Thunderbird, I'll take a look to Outlook messages and ISO-8859-1

      Ok
      Outlook, and Outlook Express also work OK if force to send the message as quoted-printable
