Please read the updated documentation about the monitor.
Please compile the latest CVS source of the monitor. Please use the
latest (ie 0.9.3) released version of shweby (or even its latest CVS)
and read its documentation
Some significant progresses have been made
* monitor much more robust
* user configurable rejection message
I was not able to run ENIC latest sample, since apparently the image
filter crashed before the monitor - which did continue to run (and
restarted the image filter as it should). I suspect that a problem
remain when the HTTP proxy (Shweby) closes its connection from the
poesia monitor but I cannot reproduce this simply (and I am not sure
to know what should be the correct behavior in that case)
I hope that
people will read the user documentation and configure the monitor to
their own need (no generated configuration file is useful anymore)
developer will re-read the system documentation - a few messages
have been improved (in particular replies to subrequests on HTTP
developer will also contribute to the documentation under CVS (I am
the only one updating it, and I cannot e.g. run the image filter
without knowing how to run it).
people will test the whole stuff, in particular on simple content
(small non offensive pages with few or no pictures).
I won't work anymore on the monitor without feedback. I really need
it. But I will try to correct bugs that peaple sent to me, so I will
work more on the monitor if (and only if) so asked.
When reporting bugs to me, please be as precise as possible - give all
the versions, the configuration files and the trace files and the
syslog (for the monitor, the filters, the HTTP proxy Shweby). Several
of the too few reports I've got did lack precision!
