I have some files that are output files *from* PPA to a DeskJet 1000c (that is, they have been "printed"). What I need to do is to reverse the process ... to take them *from* ppa and output the original text (the original file itself is preferable, but the text seems to be the important part).
What to do?
I don't know if what you propose is possible, or if it can be done in a reasonable amount of time.
Probably the best option is to actually print the ppa file and use an OCR to obtain the text. Anyway, PPA does not have "test" information but much more hardware-related commands.
