No

When files or paths are excluded in the eclipse build path, the PMD plugin should honor those exclusions and not generate errors for those files.

Still a problem in 3.2.6.v200903300643

Thanks

We won't be issuing an update for the v3.2.6 release but will check for proper operation on the next release.

    Thanks for the report.

Fixed this as of today, and included a new File Filters preference page to go along with it. You can find the alpha version posted here: http://web.wt.net/~bcr/pmd/

Just ensure you fully remove the old version first per the instructions then pop the new jar in.

    I did the following:

    Deleted these directories:

    [Eclipse dir]/plugins/net.sourceforge.pmd.eclipse.plugin
    [workspace dir]/.metadata/.plugins/net.sourceforge.pmd.eclipse.plugin

Dropped the new jar in your [Eclipse dir]/plugins directory and then restart Eclipse.

But PMD didn't load on restart and I saw no errors in the Error log.

OK, the drop-the-jar-into-the-plugins-dir trick seems to be out of favour with Eclipse now. I've created an archive install site that behaves properly that you can run the installation from. Just download it first and point Eclipse to it. Same location as before: http://web.wt.net/~bcr/pmd/
