Hello, I just succeeded in creating a single Fortran example with our CBS, using Compaq Visual Fortran and MicroSoft Visual C/C++ under Windows. All is not smooth yet: 1 The combination CVF-MSVC may require a unique macro (mixed-language features are sometimes specific to the two compilers you use) 2 I had to resort to static libraries (otherwise I would have had to solve the mysteries of exported routines using CVF, not too difficult, but still) 3 I had to fiddle with a linker option (/force to force the linker to ignore doubly defined symbols) 1) may in retrospect be a red herring - it is mainly the C compiler that is to be tamed. 2) is simply hard labour - add a compiler directive in the right places. 3) is probably not needed once I get shared libraries to work. Anyway, I wanted to let you all know about this small, but, to me, significant hurdle! Regards, Arjen |
