Although, it's been a looong time... Red Hat really set the world back a few years ago, with revised VT_Switch handling that made it hard for most people to reach the text consoles. But with xmodmap skullduggery, there do appear to be accessible techniques for defeating the default RedHat bindings. Anyway, I'm not keen on actually throwing linxvga away entirely, but do agree that it is best to disable by default, devices that aren't working correctly, pending reparation by anybody (identified or not) with inclination. |
