I have tested VS 2010 and while some strange things do occur, they did not interfer with the build process,
(One thing: I did set the number of threads in the build to 1 – Tools/Options/Projects and Solution/Build and Run – having
bad experiences with parallel builds before)
An alternative is to use the $B!H(BNmake Makefile$B!I(B generator together with nmake.
