    Hi all.
I have just imported a plomino database from Windows to Ubuntu.
Everything's alright but in my datagrid fields, Plomino shows as add label no more "Add " but "datagrid_add_button_label".
Why? And how can I solve this?

    Thanks
    Giovanni

    Hello,

It sounds very much as a translation issue.
What you see is the i18n key for this label.
Make sure your Plone language settings is correct.

if you use Italian, switch to english to see if the label is better

I use English in both operating systems.
I tried to create a new datagrid in Ubuntu but still continue to have "datagrid_add_button_label" instead of "Add"

    Hello,

    ok, so try the following:
on your server, look for the Plomino package (it must be in buidlout-cache)
    then go in Plomino/Products/CMFPlomino/i18n/cmfplomino-en.po
and make sure 'datagrid_add_button_label' is in the file
(it should be in line 680, with its translation line 681)

then delete the corresponding .mo file (cmfplomino-en.mo)

    then restart your server

'datagrid_add_button_label' is already in the file and I've no cmfplomino-en.mo file in the folder

    really ?
you should have some .mo here
it looks like your .po are not compiled

    maybe a user right issue

are you sure your zope install is properly done ? (maybe a user install you try to run with root or vice-versa)

I installed the VM with a user but now i'm working with root.
I don't remember if user or root installed Plone.
Anyway i tried to work as both and I have the same error.
And I continue not to find the cmfplomino-en.mo file (and any file with the .mo extension)

for development, the best way is to download the plone unified installer, then run ./install.sh as non-root
it will install Plone in /home/youruser/Plone
