I found that no ToC is ouput if there are top level headings only (==Top Level==). If there are second level entries (===Second Level===) then the ToC is output.

What logic controls the output of ToCs? Is it possible to force the generation of a ToC also in case that there are only top level headings?

I'm trying to use these wiki rules:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cheatsheet

    quote:
"A Table of Contents will automatically be generated when four headings are added to an article."

But I've found, that the engine renders the TOC if there are greater or equal 3 headers. I've changed this now in SVN to 4 headers.

You can use the identifier __FORCETOC__ to force the creation of the TOC and __NOTOC__ to disable TOC generation.
