Thanks a lot for providing the driver. I tried it and it works fine under
9600 and 38400 baud rate, the 500000 baud rate is still a no-go.
Then I realized the problem could be the usb-rs422 converter, It is quatech
DSU200 model, which comes with its own driver (different from FTDI-SIO
driver). The base baud rate is 921600, and I suspect it doesn't support
non-standard 500K baud rate. I ordered a usb-2com converter (FTDI chip
based) , will try it when I get it.
I am not using the sick laser for the IGVC. Actually I intend to build a 3D
