I wonder if anyone has come up with a Player driver for stereo vision (using
a pair of IEEE 1394 cameras). I am currently developing a stereo
driver/interface for my own system (SVS of VidereDesign). Any suggestions or

We don't currently have anything suitable, but it would be a good
addition. The closest interface is the blobfinder, which includes a
range field that could presumably be filled in by a stereo rig.
Perhaps you could propose an interface for this kind of device, and
people on the list can give feedback? I don't work with vision myself,
and so probably can't be of much help here.
Interfaces tend to evolve over time and it's nearly impossible to get
one right with just a single supporting driver, so something rough that
would get you the data and control you need will do for now.
