That looks like your server (gazebo) is running, but your gui (wxgazebo) has not appeared. I dont know why this would be the case; check your .gazebo file to see if there are any clues. BTW, from the snippet above, it looks like you are getting really crappy OpenGL performance; I'm seeing the same thing on my 12" PowerBook. I dont know if this is something we are doing wrong, or something Apple is doing wrong (I get approx 10x better performance on a Linux desktop with a cheap nVidia card). > 5. Complain to the Python maintainers (no uninstall target in Python distutils). A. Andrew Howard email: ah...@po... No clues in .gazebo (pasted below) about why no GUI is opening up for me. Also not sure about my graphics performance; glxgears tops out for me at 1100 FPS, typically hovering around 700-900 FPS. Performance aside, is anyone else able (or unable) to get a GUI display with wxgazebo in OS X? -Lars main.cc:188 *** Gazebo 0.5 *** main.cc:201 using display [:0.0] World.cc:213 Model:ObserverCam GLContext.cc:207 rendering: [Xlib unmapped] direct [yes] RGBA [8 8 8 0] depth [24] World.cc:213 Model:LightSource World.cc:213 Model:GroundPlane GroundPlane.cc:152 loading texture file [/usr/local/share/gazebo/worlds/grid.ppm] World.cc:213 Model:Terrain World.cc:213 Model:Pioneer2AT main.cc:242 server id [0] main.cc:319 errors, warnings and messages have been appended to .gazebo ahoward wrote: >>lars@ODIN$ wxgazebo /usr/local/share/gazebo/worlds/example1.world >>starting server >>*** Gazebo 0.5 *** >>using display [:0.0] >>rendering: [Xlib unmapped] direct [yes] RGBA [8 8 8 0] depth [24] >>server id [0] >>^Cme 24.724 18.820 [0.761] 6.080 [ 25%] >> >>Any ideas on what I might have to do to get the GUI to display? > > > That looks like your server (gazebo) is running, but your gui (wxgazebo) > has not appeared. On the ATI pbuffer issue, don't use the binary ati drivers as they don't support pbuffers and will cause X to crash when running gazebo. This conclusion was drawn only from experimentation. So correct me if I'm wrong. -nate On Mon, 15 Nov 2004 10:11:35 -0800, Lars Cremean <la...@cd...> wrote: > No clues in .gazebo (pasted below) about why no GUI is opening up for > me.
