hi, By popular demand, attached is an example of how to write and build a Player driver as a shared object (it's also checked into CVS as 'player-mod'). This example is Linux-specific. By building your driver this way, you can more easily test experimental driver code, and you don't have to wrap your head around the gory details of linking a driver directly into Player. Check out the included README for info on how to build and use the example. If I can remember tomorrow, I'll put this online somewhere and link to it from the project site. brian. -- Brian P. Thanks Brian; just the ticket. As a small note, I had to run the server with: player -d ./exampledriver.so example.cfg to get it to work, since the current directory is not in my LD_LIB_PATH. A. I've also released version 0.1 of player-mod. You can get it from SF.net: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42445&package_id=111863 brian. |
