Hello, I'm just curious, what is the development environment you main developers use to work with player? I'm interested in getting ideas. Thanks in advance, Alex. |

I use a combination of console with makefiles and eclipse. There has been a project in our robotics group building player based robot plugins for eclipse. The source is intended to be published just havent got there yet so if anyone is interested in them let me know and I'll pass it on. I myself was thinking in doing something like this but haven't found the time. If you have base code working I can help testing or polishing it. You will basically save me a lot of time, I can try help improving it. -- Jordi Polo ______________________________________________ LLama Gratis a cualquier PC del Mundo. And another list falls victim to the Great War... ;) I use Kate + make for Player. For other C/C++ projects I use Eclipse (with the horribly slow indexer turned off). Anything Python based, I do in Kate. I was trying kdevelop yesterday and for some reason it complains that there's no Makefile in the player folders, while I can see the Makefiles sitting there happily. Do you have any idea why this can be happening? Thanks to everyone :) I'm also basicly a vi beast but was wondering if I was missing some new and shiny tool in recent times. |

Do you have any idea why this can be happening? Probably because it is looking for it somewhere else... I recently switched to it too (from xemacs) but am still using autotools (mostly still built manually). I did find the creation of kdevelop projects from existing projects a bit difficult and kate is nowhere near good enough (at least compared to xemacs), especially when it comes to indentation, but has some nice other tools such as proposing possible completions (which is the main reason for my switching (I know, sad)).
