## [Playerstage-users] Simple way to set robot's trajectory?

[Playerstage-users] Simple way to set robot's trajectory? From: Marianne Sisto - 2005-08-19 14:31:11 ```Hello, I am new to Player/Stage and have already posted a question on a different issue but thought it better to send a separate message for each problem. I have searched the archives regarding path planning, but am not sure if this is really necessary for my problem. What I want to do is set the robot on a trajectory such as the sin curve. Which would be the simplest way to achieve this? Many thanks. ```

You need to write a controller that computes the appropriate velocities to drive the robot along the desired trajectory. In simulation, you can do this based on the robot's odometry (as reported through the position interface), because it's perfect. With a real robot, it's more complicated. brian. -- Brian Gerkey brian@... http://gerkey.org ```
